SOOHAN- Starting as a grassroots project in Baltimore, SOOHAN has taken off as an identity in global dance floor fusion. Since his initial east coast success, SOOHAN finds himself touring the US and Canada on a consistent and constant basis, with festival appearances at the likes of Envision, Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Symbiosis, Burning Man, and numerous others. With some seven albums, 18 million streams, SOOHAN has hit his stride and shows no signs of slowing. SOOHAN’s most ardent fans will have even more to look forward to in 2025, as a steady output of remix compilations, DJ mixes, and original material looms on the horizon. Cultivating an appreciation for the music which lies beneath the surfaces all around us, driving a direct line to celebration of global culture, and bringing people together in rapturous dance remain in SOOHAN’s sights, virtually everywhere he goes.
Beat Kitty- Beat Kitty is a DJ and producer known for her genre-bending sounds, blending elements of halftime, trap, hip hop, and DnB. She is also a live performer, sharing her eclectic soundscapes at festivals like EDC, EDC and venues such as Meow Wolf. Her music is known for its infectious dance-floor vibes and her ability to switch from upbeat to freaky and dirty.
Szara- SZÁRA is a singer, producer, and DJ blending hypnotic beats with ethereal vocals and dance. With a sound that fuses electronic, world, and underground club influences, she creates immersive sonic experiences that transport listeners beyond the physical. Born in Bosnia and now rooted in California, she carries the spirit of resilience, having escaped war as a refugee and rebuilt her life through music and movement.
Her artistry is shaped by a deep connection to nature, emotion and storytelling. SZÁRA brings her music to life on stage through choreographed dance performance, live vocals & djing. Her upcoming body of work Origins is an album fusing dance music and balkan melodies. Through pulsating rhythms and ethereal vocals, she channels her healing into creativity, reconnecting with her roots. Her growing presence in the electronic scene with a unique sound, she continues to carve her own path, drawing audiences into a world where music, movement, and culture intertwine.
Ezekeal Zion- Ezekeal Zion is a DJ weaving organic textures into immersive dance floor experiences. Rooted in the West Coast underground, he crafts journey-like sets that transport listeners to a timeless space, offering a full-spectrum dynamic sound. He has performed at festivals like Lucidity, Burning Man, Northern Nights, and High Vibe, sharing stages with artists such as Desert Dwellers, Random Rab, Atyya, and Soohan.

Legacy Genetics - Inside The Research
Join us for the launch of the pioneering "Legacy Cannabis Genetics: People and Their Plants, a Community-Driven Study." Funded by a $2.7 million dollar grant from the California Department of Cannabis Control, the project incorporates public education and Community-Based Participatory Research to implement the standard methods and systems used across agriculture to define, document, and legally protect as intellectual property the individual and collective genetic resources of legacy cannabis breeders and legacy cannabis cultivation communities.
Hosted by Cal Poly Humboldt, LeafWorks, the Oral History Center at the Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley, Origins Council and United CORE Alliance, this event will bring together experts, stakeholders, and academics for an afternoon of insightful presentations and discussions about the project’s goals and methodologies.
Event Highlights:
Event will feature a panel discussion with the project's research team, followed by Q&A with attendees. After the panel discussion, researchers and project personnel will facilitate hand-on demonstrations on herbarium science and breakout discussions covering different aspects of this multidisciplinary Community-Based Participatory Research project. Join Sierra Business Council and Sierra Commons in beautiful Nevada City, California for a tuition-free two-day bootcamp designed to create sustainable forest-based jobs and wood products businesses.
With increasing pressure on our forests from climate change and wildfires, the demand for forest-based businesses is growing every year in rural communities throughout the Sierra Nevada.
Have you ever dreamed of being a business owner? Or maybe you have a business and want to take it to the next level. This course is for you!
This two-day course is geared toward businesses in forest thinning and management, defensible space, prescribed fire application, small mass timber product manufacturing, small diameter timber utilization, biofuel, bioenergy, home hardening, plant restoration, other non-timer-related businesses, and forestry logistics.
About the Bootcamp
Robert Trent, founder of Sierra Commons, and Ruby Beauchamp, a seasoned climber and cone collector, will lead the course. Throughout the weekend, guest presenters will provide valuable information and resources.
Students will learn the basic foundations of good business, from finance, pricing, and cash flow to research, marketing, and sales and the complex world of government contracts and permits. With a weekly accountability group and one-to-one advising, students will expand their knowledge and gain access to resources.
Each participant is eligible for personalized technical assistance at no cost through the SBDC program.
The curriculum is designed to provide:
Technical assistance to launch small businesses
Entrepreneurial development focused on a broad range of forest and wood-based businesses
Training and guidance for transforming businesses
Opportunities to showcase emerging business opportunities
Guidance on the benefits of wildfire reduction and economic development; at the nexus of wood product development and outdoor recreation in rural forested communities
Funding for this program was provided by a Good Jobs Challenge EDA-funded grant through the Foundation for California Community Colleges to conduct forestry and fire-mitigation training programs in the Sierra Nevada region of northeastern California.
